There are many ways you can volunteer in your community. Our agencies are always in need of people with various talents and skill levels. If you would like to learn more about the variety of opportunities to volunteer email info@riseupforhomes.com.

Some of the volunteer opportunities include:

  • New Bedford Connect Event - Stay tuned for details coming for the October 2024 event. Volunteers are need to help greet guests and assist with providing various services.

  • Community Dinner - Stay tuned for details. Community Dinners are held periodically throughout the year. Volunteers are needed for set up and clean up.

How else you can help:

As our homeless brothers and sisters are gathered together and sheltered during the cold nights, there are many items needed to clothe and feed our guests. If you are able to donate items such as:

  • travel sized toiletries, shampoo and soap

  • lip balm (ex. Chapstick)

  • deodorant

  • hand lotion

  • feminine products

  • socks, hats, gloves and new underwear

  • hand and feet warmers

  • food items that can be taken to go such as pre-packed snack foods, single serve waters, granola bars, protein bars and other single serve foods that can be given out to the guests.
